OUR NEW CHILDREN’S BOOK

Charlie and the Whale, a new book by Breath of the Whales authors, Keith Gray Hale and Carolyn M Gorman is now available on Amazon.com and locally in Santa Barbara at: Chaucer’s Books and Santa Barbara Arts.

Keith and Carolyn share their passion for cetaceans and the environment we share with them in their magical story of a young boy who meets a whale and learns to surf.

This book is part fiction, part autobiography, part dream world, part marine science and pure fun! It is geared towards grammar school aged children but will be enjoyed by parents, grandparents and kids of all ages!

Go to the beach with 8 year old Charlie where he makes a new friend who happens to be a whale! Plunge into Charlie’s dream voyage under the sea and ride the waves as Charlie learns to surf. Explore a bigger world as Charlie finds the magic of being one with nature and the powerful force within his own heart.

Whale Whisperer: A Path to Awakening

Gray Whale Wisdom founders and Breath of the Whales authors Keith Grey Hale & Carolyn Gorman are offering a special workshop Saturday October 17 2015. This morning workshop will open the dialogue between cetacean science and spirituality. We will be presenting some of the latest whale communication research as well as marine biology neuroscience findings that support the understanding of cetacean intelligence and their sophisticated social behaviors. Keith will also share a new message from the collective consciousness of the Whales.

Please join us in exploring the connections between humans and whales and the importance of the deeper awareness of our future together, bringing balance to the environment of the beautiful planet we share.

Embark on an exploration into the mystical beauty, grace and　intelligence of whales while also discovering the science behind how whales are a fundamental building block of the Earth's ecosystem.　 Through a unique guided meditation to whale song, explore the possibilities of tapping into the collective consciousness of cetaceans as a resource for spiritual growth. Go deeper with a discussion of　the whales' loving, inspirational messages and gain a broader understanding of our synergistic relationship to our planet and how whales are integral to sustaining life on earth.

The Santa Barbara coastline has been significantly impacted by the recent oil spill near Refugio State Beach. Though clean up continues, the energetic reverberations persist.

From How Whales Change Climate: "When whales were at their historic populations, before their numbers were reduced, it seems that whales might have been responsible for removing tens of millions of tons of carbon from the atmosphere every year. Whales change the climate. The return of the great whales, if they are allowed to recover, could be seen as a benign form of geo-engineering. It could undo some of the damage we have done, both to the living systems of the sea, and to the atmosphere."
